Recruitment

Research participant recruitment of providers and professionals providing care to patients and clients with endometriosis

We are recruiting providers and professionals (people like us!) with experience working with persons with endometriosis to speak to the process of empathy while providing care to this population.

Study Information:

Endometriosis has been overlooked in psychological research and, when present, often focuses attention on the experiences of the person diagnosed. Our study aims to give a voice to healthcare providers, as they play a key role in the care journey.

Our study is looking to recruit healthcare providers, inclusive of general practitioners, gynecologists, surgeons, nurse practitioners, and physiotherapists, and mental health professionals, inclusive of psychologists, counsellors, and social workers. We are looking for professionals who currently or have previously provided care for persons with endometriosis for at least eight years.

The study has two components and participants can choose to complete one or both of them:

  1. A 10-minute survey asking participants about sociodemographic information, empathy, and compassion fatigue.
  2. A 30-minute audio-recorded interview where participants will be asked about their experience caring for persons with endometriosis, and barriers and facilitators to expressing empathy during these interactions.

If you are interested in participating in either or both study components, please scan the QR code in the study poster or follow the link below to the screening form. After review, our study team will contact you regarding next steps.
